Nicole's Notes

Many of us feel particularly thankful during this time of year, and I am appreciative of many things personally and professionally. Thanks to national organizations Community Catalyst, National Partnership for Women and Families, and the National Health Law Program—our partners in the Campaign for Better Care—I was able to meet hundreds of seniors, people who have disabilities, family members, practitioners and volunteers who serve the community.

First Person

In this last Care Package newsletter of 2012, I’d like to introduce to you two individuals that I had the pleasure to spend some time with: Brent Carpenter and Frances Thompson. Brent and Frances explained to me how having Medicare and Medicaid enhances their lives, allowing them to get out of bed and out of their homes each day for work and school and to enjoy life.
