CUTTING OR CAPPING FEDERAL MEDICAID FUNDING HURTS SENIORS AND KIDS: NC TALKING POINTS (02/03/2005)
|
TODAY'S MEDICAID TALKING POINT: (01/27/2005)
A federal cut of Medicaid money coming to NC isn?t a cost saving proposal, but rather a cost shift to our state. Cutting care for people who depend on Medicaid like vulnerable seniors in nursing homes and kids who have lost health insurance isn?t what North Carolina values are all about. Maintaining that care with less money from the federal government for Medicaid means higher state taxes or reduced state spending on education and other vital state services.
