Andressia Ramirez is a graduate of Meredith College and double majored in communications with a concentration in public relations and Spanish language and literature. As a daughter of immigrants, she has been advocating for the rights of immigrants in the United States and also pursued a minor in prelaw to be an ally in the field of law.
Before coming to the NC Justice Center, she interned at an immigration law practice where she worked on a range of immigration law matters filed with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. Andressia is dedicated to empowering Mexican American youth and has worked with the Mexican Secretary of Exterior Relations and the foreign ministry, Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior, on the execution of their cultural immersion and annual national volunteer program. The program seeks to strengthen Mexico’s ties to Mexican Americans abroad and foster their cultural ties with the country.
