William Munn is Senior Policy Analyst with the Health Advocacy Project, where he blends research, data visualization, legislative advocacy, and community empowerment to advance the movement to bring health care access to all North Carolinians.
William joined the NC Justice Center in February 2017, where he worked with the Budget & Tax Center to promote equitable community economic development in eastern NC communities. These innovative campaigns engaged historically underutilized businesses (HUBs), leveraged labor market analyses, and supported community-led anti-poverty movements.
Prior to joining the Justice Center, William served as a district liaison for Congressman David Price, managing his Fayetteville district office. His expertise guided the Congressman’s outreach in culturally diverse and transient communities by articulating legislative priorities and connecting resources to opportunity. William worked as an intermediary between federal agencies and residents of Harnett and Cumberland counties to resolve issues involving benefits and eligibility.
William earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Fayetteville State University, Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and his Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
