WHAT: Gathering to commemorate those who lost their lives in the Medicaid coverage gap

RALEIGH (September 26, 2019) – On Tuesday, October 1, people who have lost loved ones in the Medicaid coverage gap will gather at the General Assembly to give lawmakers memorial luminaries that feature the photos and names of people who died in the gap.
This action will precede a legislative hearing on Medicaid expansion hosted by Senate Minority Leader Dan Blue, Jr. and House Minority Leader Darren Jackson to remind our lawmakers about the life-and-death importance of closing the coverage gap for North Carolinians.
