Defenders of Justice
Justice Circle We have undertaken a number of cases to protect and expand tenants’ rights. We protect public and private housing tenants from unfair and or illegal landlord/tenant policies and practices. We litigate high impact cases on behalf of tenants, including cases involving unfair mobile home park contracts, unsafe conditions, or unlawful evictions.
We monitor proposed legislation, and defend against passage, where appropriate. We attempt to increase protections for tenants by supporting passage of new legislation and also protect tenants from discriminatory housing practices.
