RALEIGH (January 7, 2020) – Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court Cheri Beasley has appointed Rick Glazier, Executive Director of the NC Justice Center and former member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, to two state commissions for a new term.
Chief Justice Beasley appointed Glazier to a second term on the Chief Justice’s Equal Access to Justice Commission on December 30, 2020, for a term beginning January 1, 2020, and ending on December 31, 2022.
Chief Justice also appointed Glazier to a second term on the North Carolina Actual Innocence Inquiry Commission on December 31, 2020, for a term beginning January 1, 2020 and ending on December 31, 2022.
Glazier was the prime sponsor of the bill that created the Actual Innocence Inquiry Commission in 2007 while serving Cumberland County in the NC House of Representatives.
